HVAC Systems Treatment

CLT-300 is a liquid blend of Molybdate/Borate corrosion inhibitors designed to control pitting and corrosion in closed hot water and chilled systems. It will protect all metals in a closed system, including sweated copper lines, from corrosive attack. CLT-300 is a Nitrite Free formula, making it resistant to biological degradation.

 

It is also specially formulated to handle high temperature hot water systems.

 

USES

 CLT-300 functions as a protective film-forming corrosion inhibitor and scale suppressant. It helps to keep systems clean and free from corrosive attack and harmful insulating deposits, thereby maintaining design heat transfer efficiency and longer equipment life.

CLT-300 remains effective at temperatures up to 200F (see dosage recommendation on reverse side). It does not affect nonmetallic materials in cooling systems and it is compatible with glycol-based antifreezes.

 Dosage and feeding

Add a minimum of two to three gallons for every 1000 gallons of water in the system.  More CLT-300 is required as water temperature and hardness increases.  See Chart below for guidance. Your Water Energy Representative will make specific recommendations required by your system as determined by periodic water analysis.
